CLOTcheck is a compact point-of-care blood clotting assessment device based on microfluidics technology.
It uses a disposable cartridge and a small sample of whole blood to recreate pathological arterial-flow-like conditions, measuring how fast or slow a platelet-rich (SIPA) clot, forms.

Evaluate platelet-rich clot formation under pathological arterial-like flow.

Compact design and simple operation support testing close to the patient

Provides an intuitive clotting readout in less than 10 minutes
CLOTcheck is developing a rapid point-of-care solution for clotting assessment. We welcome clinical partners, collaborators, investors, and early adopters interested in our technology.
We are a microfluidics and medical technology team from the Micro and Nanodevices Laboratory, Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia, developing CLOTcheck as a rapid point-of-care device for clotting assessment.
Our work combines microfluidic cartridge design, scalable manufacturing, blood-flow science, and clinical translation to bring physiologically relevant clotting testing closer to the patient.
